Overview

A doctorate in international management / business is designed to teach today's business leaders how to teach tomorrow's business leaders and conduct research. Graduates of a Ph.D. in International Management / Business / Education / Public Administration programs will have extensive knowledge of the theories and practices of management, business, finance, economics and trade skills that all apply to governmental organizations and various businesses around the world.

IPh.D. Candidate Requirements

A strong foundation and background in business is required to pursue this high-level degree. The program consists of intensive business study courses along with independent research and a dissertation. 2 – 3 years are dedicated primarily to coursework and to the dissertation. Ph.D. Candidates will participate in an undergraduate teaching assistant program or research assistant while enrolled.

A candidate is eligible for admission to the Doctoral Program if met the following criteria:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of occupational experiences in an academic and/or career-related field.
  2. A Master’s Degree from an acceptable institution
  3. Must submit the following admission requirements:

a.   Official Transcript of Records (original)
b.   Photocopy of Diploma (please present the original upon submission for verification purposes)
c.   2 pcs. 2X2 colored ID photo
d.  Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae
e.  Completely filled-up Application Form 
f.   2 Letters of Recommendation

 

 

Educational Pre-requisites

A strong management and business foundation are recommended for IPh.D. Candidates as well as some business administration experience. If the prospective student does not have a strong background in business, certain courses and training will be required prior to working toward the doctorate. A master's degree in a related field is also recommended and/or required.

 

 

Coursework

All curriculum and course studies are incorporated with the intention of preparing the graduate to be an effective management and business practitioner or instructor/ coach/ mentor/ professor with an international perspective. Some specific courses in the IPh.D. Programs are Leadership, Executive Information System, Supply Chain Management and Logistics, International Consulting, Strategic Planning and Management, International Finance, International Trade, International Macroeconomics, Industrial Organization, International Human Resource Management, Dissertation and Teaching Internship.
