2013 National Economy Review

 

In spite of the calamities, natural and political, 2013 is still a good year for the economy of the Philippines.The estimated damage of super-typhoon Yolanda (international name – Haiyan) to properties, crops, and infrastructures, excluding human life and social cost) was P24 billion (and still counting), while local and international aid in cash, excluding those in kind like food, medicine, clothing, toys and the like, amounted to P7,445,959,500.00 (US$190,766,500.00).
